Thank you for visiting the portfolio of Jon Merlin. This site showcases my recent work, and will let you know a little about myself.

I have had a passion for art and design ever since I got my hands on a copy of Adobe Photoshop in high school. I had found my love, now all I needed to do was learn how to become a successful artist. Since that day I have strived to learn—I scour the Internet and bookstores, teaching myself all the art and design techniques I can find. Sometimes I feel like I am a sponge, absorbing as much information as I can. I love school because it gives me a chance to learn from others, and it provides me with mentors to look up to.

I would say I have mastered all of the design software available, since I was practically born with a keyboard and mouse in my hands, and I am currently honing my fine art skills. I enjoy what I do and plan to continue creating art for the rest of my life. I love art and beauty; it is a very important part of my life. Through this site I hope you will see some of the talent and skills I posses. I am very excited to be able to turn my passion for art and design into a career. My ultimate goal is to earn my masters degree in graphic design, and open my own design firm someday.
